MCC Brussels welcomed its last student visitors before the summer vacations. The high-school aged group came from various cities and institutions around Hungary. The students are all part of MCC’s middle-school programme.
During the four-day study trip the students visited the European Parliament where they were received by Hungarian MEP Edina Tóth, imporovised a piano concerto complete with singing at the Liszt Institute, had lectures by MCC Director Frank Füredi and other members of the MCC Brussels team.
Despite their young age, the students seemed particularly inquisitive. MCC Brussels Policy Analyst James Illingworth described in his lecture the intricate workings of the European institutions, and their legal basis. The teenagers asked many questions and did not shy from debating with our colleague.
We are convinced that the visit benefited not only the youngsters but their positive attitude and great energy rubbed off on us as well, a truly enriching experience!
