Democracy Is Under Attack in Brussels, MCC Brussels Will Not Be Silenced
Brussels, 21st May 2025 - Freedom of speech is under direct assault in the heart of the European Union. A radical group known as Brussels Antifa-intolerant and aggressive-has launched an orchestrated campaign to shut down a civil discussion tonight on Women and Conservatism, organised by MCC Brussels. Their objective is not debate, but intimidation: they are pressuring venues into silence through the threat of disorder and vandalism.
Let’s be clear: this is an attempt to silence women. Tonight’s event features four women speaking for themselves- about politics, identity, and freedom. For Antifa, conservative women are not permitted a voice. These bullies do not fear hate speech; they fear dissent. Their efforts go beyond protest- they are a calculated attempt to destroy the foundations of democratic discourse.
This isn’t new. Again and again, events in Brussels that question the prevailing orthodoxy are threatened with cancellation. Several venues have already caved under pressure- fearful of reprisals, unwilling to defend open discussion. And too often, the local political establishment looks the other way, appeasing those who despise democratic values.
MCC Brussels will not back down.
MCC Brussels is determined to defends its right to have its voice heard. Freedom of speech is the foundation of democracy and the ideal of tolerance is essential for maintaining a civilised society. Antifa’s tactics are not just aimed at tonight’s speakers or at MCC Brussels, but anyone who dares challenge the elite consensus which inflicted enormous damage on this great continent.
Anyone who values democracy and free expression cannot allow them to succeed.
MCC Brussels will not allow them succeed . We will not be silenced. We will not surrender our right to speak freely.
Tonight’s discussion goes ahead as planned. This is not just about us—it is about whether Brussels, the symbolic capital of European democracy, can tolerate a diversity of voices. The right to peaceful assembly and free speech is not conditional on political fashion. It is fundamental.
To all who believe in liberty: stand with us.
Do not let intimidation win.
Do not let democracy die in silence.
